Fred Durst Guitar Solo Kills Fetuses (Allegedly)

On Wednesday (2/15) the “World’s Greatest Wednesday” centered around the best (and worst) guitar solos of all time. To be completely honest, listening to what was considered the “best” guitar solos was immensely boring. However, the worst guitar solos ended up being quite a bit more entertaining to listen to, particularly a solo performed by the notorious douchebag Fred Durst.

It’s my own personal opinion that Fred Durst is a gigantic asshole and happens to be more or less the epitome of what’s wrong with music, but I digress. He managed to do one entertaining thing: perform the worst guitar solo in the world.

Now of course Ellis called Fred Durst after playing this awful clip on the show. Durst ended up playing along and for once wasn’t a complete tool. I have to admit that his line at the end of the solo “shave my friends tonight” is one of the most bizarre, yet amazing things I’ve ever heard a performer say on stage. I think that’s a pretty fair statement given the fact that I wouldn’t mind seeing him drop off the face of the earth.

Anyway, it seems that Ellis has made friends with Fred Durst which I guess I can’t fault him for doing. All about making “connections” and such…
